Why Community Groups

Community Groups are an essential part of getting connected into the life of Freestone Baptist and growing in your faith. We believe that spiritual growth (discipleship) happens best in the context of community and relationships. Being involved in a community group is great way to connect with other believers, fellowship, grow together, and make disciples.

Sunday Groups

Kid's Sunday School | 9:45 AM

This group is for ages 1-11. This group meets in the fellowship hall and coincides with the men's and women's groups. There is breakfast available each week starting at 9 AM.

Men's Sunday School | 9:45 AM

This group gathers on Sunday mornings in the first classroom on the left side of the fellowship hall. They study the bible using the Baptist Expositor Sunday School Quarterly (Baptist Publishing House - BMA). In this group the men drink coffee (or beverage of choice), discuss the bible, and encourage one another in the walk with Christ.

Women's Sunday School | 9:45 AM

This group gathers on Sunday mornings at 9:45. This group gathers on Sunday mornings in the main space of the fellowship hall. They study the bible using the Baptist Expositor Sunday School Quarterly (Baptist Publishing House - BMA). In this group women study and discuss God’s word, share and pray over prayer requests, and encourage one another in following Jesus.

Tiny Disciples (Ages 1-5) | 10:45 AM

Check in and drop off for Tiny Disciples begins at 10:45 on Sunday Mornings.

Children in Tiny Disciples play games, make crafts, and hear a story that helps them to discover bible truths. This class occurs during the first half of our worship service (during the sermon).

After the sermon ~11:40 The Tiny Disciples Volunteers and Security Team will escort children back into the service to join their parents for the remainder of worship.

Beginning at age 5 we encourage parents to begin keeping their children with them in worship. The biblical standard was for families to worship together. There is nothing more beautiful than a church service filled with noisy kids. Your kids are always welcome in all our services.

Weekday Groups

Wednesday

Mid-Week Refresh| 6:30 PM

This group gathers on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM. This group gathers in the main space of the fellowship hall. They use a sermon-based approach to studying the Bible. This means that they discuss the topic of the sermon from Sunday. This group consist of men and women of all ages.

Thursday

Families Home Group | 6:00 PM

This group gathers twice a month at various group member's houses on Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM. Their time is spent in fellowship over a meal, singing, catechizing children, and discussing the Sunday sermon. This group consists of families with children.
