Pathway To Membership

Email Pastor Stephen:
stephen@freestonebaptist.com

Pastor Stephen and at least one other church leader will schedule a time to meet with you.

We will discuss and explain our membership commitments, hear the story of how God saved you, see what areas of church life you may be interested in participating or serving in, and answer any questions you might have for us.

We believe that baptism is the immersion in water of a believer as a confession of his faith in Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4) and is a prerequisite to church membership and participation in the Lord’s Supper (Acts 2:41, 42).

Baptism means you are choosing to go public about your decision to trust Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and the Lord of your life. This is the next step after trusting Jesus.

If you have previously been scripturally baptized you can skip this step.

Upon completion of these steps, and review of your Membership Interview, Pastor Stephen will recommend you to the church body for full membership in Freestone Baptist Church.

Membership Commitments

By becoming a member of Freestone Baptist Church you are committing to worship regularly with the rest of us for mutual encouragement on Sunday Mornings.

By becoming a member of Freestone Baptist Church you are committing to take ownership of your spiritual growth as well being regularly involved in a Bible Study Group and/or a Discipleship Group.

We believe that spiritual growth (discipleship) happens best in the context of community and relationships. Being involved in a group is great way to connect with other believers, fellowship, grow together, and make disciples.

By becoming a member of Freestone Baptist Church you are committing to use the gifts and talents that God has given you to serve God, our church, and community.

What is Baptism?

Baptism means you are choosing to go public about your decision to receive Jesus Christ as the forgiver of your sins and the leader of your life. It’s the next step after salvation.

We believe that baptism is the immersion in water of a believer as a confession of his faith in Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4) and is a prerequisite to church membership and participation in the Lord’s Supper (Acts 2:41, 42).
